She was born and raised in Germany and she came to live in Netherlands when she was 10. Shemsi came to fame in 1999 with her first released single 'Say you will be mine' by universal records which was produced by Michael B and Pommez di Lorenzo in Germany. Following the release of the two other singles 'reality' and 'Will you be my friend', she decided to stop with the music career for a while until she finish her studies(teaching profession). she decides to go on with the music which is a big part of her life. Shemsi's music talent was discoverd at first by her big sister Ylli who always supported her in every single way. Later she was discoverd by many producers... She was as well the first Kosovo-Albanian singer who made it through MTV and VIVA (the german music channel). In 1999 when Shemsi was 17 years old, she signed her first big contract at the universal records. She also won the titel of the beautyful face 1998 in her city Dortmund and was modeling for the famous store H&M. In 2001 Shemsi also performed in front of 2,8 million people in the preliminary decision of Germany of the eurovision song contest with Verena Stanley (Unity 2). The euro-vision event was the last official performance of Shemsi which was decided by her herself. 9 years later she came back on stage in The Voice Of Holland and made it through the lifeshows. Shemsi also writes and compose songs. Writing and teaching is one of her other passions and talents which she made to profession. It's just a matter of time again and as soon as possible we will hear a lot more of her music career!

Ajo u lind dhe u rrit në Gjermani dhe erdhi për të jetuar në Holandë kur ishte 10 vjeç. Shemsi u bë e fashme në vitin 1999 me këngën e saj të parë të lëshuar 'Say you will be mine' nga universale që u prodhua nga Michael B dhe Pommez di Lorenzo në Gjermani. Pasi publikoi dhe sy singles 'Reality' and 'Will you be my friend', ajo vendosi të ndalet me karrierën muzikore për një kohë derisa të mbarojë studimet. Ajo vendos të vazhdojë me muzikën e cila është një pjesë e madhe e jetës së saj. Talenti i muzikës së Shemsi u zbulua në fillim nga motra e saj e madhe, e cila gjithmonë e mbështeste atë në çdo zgjedhje. Më vonë ajo u zbulua nga shumë producentë. Ajo ishte gjithashtu këngëtarja e parë shqiptare e Kosovës që doli ne MTV dhe VIVA (kanali muzikor gjerman). Në vitin 1999 kur Shemsi ishte 17 vjeçe, ajo nënshkroi kontratën e parë të saj të parë me universal. Ajo gjithashtu fitoi titullin e fytyrës së bukur 1998 në qytetin e saj Dortmund dhe po modelonte për dyqanin e famshëm H&M. Në vitin 2001 Shemsi gjithashtu performoi para 2,8 milion njerëzve në vendimin paraprak të Gjermanisë të konkursit të këngës së Eurovizionit me Verena Stanley (Uniteti 2). Ngjarja euro-vizion ishte performanca e fundit zyrtare e Shemsi, e cila u vendos nga vetë ajo. 9 vjet më vonë ajo u kthye në skenë në The Voice Of Holland dhe e bëri atë përmes lifeshows. Shemsi gjithashtu shkruan këngë. Shkrimi dhe mësimi është një nga pasionet dhe talentet e tjera që ajo i bëri në profesion. Është vetëm një çështje kohe dhe shpejt do dëgjojmë shumë më tepër karrierën e saj muzikore!

Më datë 16 Prill 2008, Shemsi publikon videoklipin "Reality".

Më datë 26 Shkurt 2010, Shemsi publikon videoklipin "Will You Be My Friend".
